While most image and measurement scans will be standard raster patterns, there are no constraints while painting the melt zone with energy. Our proprietary electron column and control system combine to provide exceptional spatial and temporal resolution during energy delivery to the deposition area.

The layered architecture used for the process control allows dynamic recalculation of exactly where the energy needs to be applied and for exactly how long it should be applied on a point by point basis. The result is a seamless interplay of measurement and energy application, providing intimate control over material pre-heating and melt pool control.
