Custom-Designed Electron Beam System Developed For Our NASA Customer

Inspired by the special needs of NASA, we have a custom-designed electron beam wire 3D Printing system which is in an engineering “sweet spot”. It provides more than enough power to melt and deposit any of the requested metals, while also being able to do high resolution imagery (such as would occur in a scanning electron microscope).
Our E-Beam Approach
While “traditional” optical systems quickly become inoperable in the harsh environments near the depositions, our electron beam imaging has no such limitations.
Instead, our approach allows for high speed and high resolution imagery & measurement of the depositions in real time. The signal from the surface is rich in information about topology, phase transitions, and crystal structure.
